Role of skin in regulation of body temperature
The skin sends signals to the brain telling the body when its cold out or when it is too hot. The body reacts differently depending on the temperature, if it is cold it shivers. If it is too hot the body sweats through glands in the skin. This evaporates and cools the body down.
